Seven Angels Theater in Waterbury, Conn., presents Radium Girls–The Musical,  April 16- May 2, 2027.

Adapted by D.W. Gregory from her popular stage play, Radium Girls–The Musical features a book by Gregory and a gripping, dynamic, jazz-infused score by composer Steven M. Alper and lyricist Sarah Knapp.

In 1926, radium was a miracle cure and luminous watches the latest rage…until the girls who painted them began to mysteriously fall ill. Inspired by a true story, Radium Girls offers a wry, unflinching look at the peculiarly American obsessions with health, wealth and the commercialization of science. Radium Girls–The Musical retains all the humor, pathos and theatricality of the original; only now, it sings!

The Seven Angels production will be directed by Joseph Megel, who directed the premiere of the stage play at Playwrights Theater of New Jersey. The play has gone on to more than 3,000 productions worldwide and is still going strong.

The musical adaptation was commissioned by Dramatic Publishing.
