I will be joining the Contemporary American Theater Festival Monday, April 8, at New Dramatists, to celebrate the release of Plays by Women of the Contemporary American Theater Festival . CATF’s first anthology of plays published by London-based Methuen Drama, an imprint of Bloomsbury Books.
Memoirs of a Forgotten Man, which opened at CATF in summer of 2018, is included in the anthology. Playbill named the collection one of “15 Theatre Books to Add to Your Spring 2019 Reading List.”
The anthology is edited by CATF’s Producing Directors Peggy McKowen and Ed Herendeen and features an introduction by Pulitzer Prize-winner Lynn Nottage. The collection also includes an interview with each playwright conducted by Sharon J. Anderson
The other authors in the anthology are Johnna Adams, Eleanor Burgess, Chisa Hutchinson, and Susan Miller.
The event starts at 7 p.m. at New Dramatists, 424 West 44th Street, New York, NY 10036 (between 9th and 10th Avenue in midtown Manhattan).
