Playwright and fiction writer D.W. Gregory will be among several featured authors at the New York City launch party for Coolest American Stories 2024.

She will read a selection from her short story, Mr. Kindness, which is included in the latest anthology edited by Mark Wish and Elizabeth Coffey. The party is set for Thursday, Dec. 21, at KGB Bar, 85 E. 4th Street, New York City.

Mr. Kindess is the winner of the 2021 West Virginia Fiction competition sponsored by Shepherd University and The West Virginia Center for the Book. The story was also nominated for a Pushcart Prize.
